Now, we move on into Gateway 24, the Gateway known as \u201cReturning\u201d. Gate 24 is in the Mind Center and is deeply involved in the mental process of refinement. It\u2019s the process of going round and round with a thought or a concept until there&#8217;s a resolution of some sort. Truth arrives in moments of silence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RNsdE-4Pyxk?si=yKPm0-tICP7X4vMt\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">With that in mind, let\u2019s have a look at the Human Design Life Themes associated with Gateway 24:<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>The Personal Life Theme: The Four Directions<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-356640\" src=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24P.jpg\" alt=\"Human Design Life Themes - Gate 24\" width=\"400\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24P.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24P-768x829.jpg 768w, https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24P-1422x1536.jpg 1422w, https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24P-285x308.jpg 285w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">With the Conscious Sun in Gate 24, we find ourselves in the Personal Life Theme of \u201cThe Four Directions\u201d. What are the directions in question? Well, in this case, two of the directions are outgoing and two of them are ingoing. Gate 24 is ingoing as it\u2019s all about the internal processes of the mind. On the Earth side, we have Gate 44, known as \u201cComing to Meet\u201d. It\u2019s an outgoing movement. It&#8217;s the Gateway of instinct. It&#8217;s the Gateway I sometimes call &#8220;Patterns&#8221;, because from a single thread you can make out the whole tapestry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Gate 24<\/strong> \u2013 Returning \u2013 Cycles of deep thought give way to innovation and transformation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Gate 44<\/strong> \u2013 Coming to Meet \u2013 Acceptance and mutual tolerance are essential in any meeting of likes or opposites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Gate 19 <\/strong>\u2013 Approach \u2013 Reaching out to find what we need for life to connect us all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Gate 33 <\/strong>\u2013 Retreat \u2013 Recharging and assimilating life experiences by withdrawing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Unconscious Sun is in Gate 19, the Gateway of \u201cApproach\u201d. \u200aIt\u2019s the other outwardly directed Gateway in this Life Theme. Its journey is to reach out and discover what it is that people need in order to reconnect and find a sense of unity in life. And finally, Gate 33, the Gateway of \u201cRetreat\u201d, is going inwards to assimilate everything that they pick up from the world around them. \u200aSo, you can see that this very aptly named Life Theme is about exploring the world, going out to see and experience life, and then going home to sit with it and work it all out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Notable people with this Life Theme:<\/strong> Jessica Alba, Daniel Day-Lewis, Bernie Madoff, Michelle Pfeiffer, Uma Thurman, David Beckham<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>The Fixed Life Theme: Rationalization<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-356635\" src=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24F.jpg\" alt=\"Human Design Life Themes - Gate 24\" width=\"400\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24F.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24F-768x829.jpg 768w, https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24F-1422x1536.jpg 1422w, https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24F-285x308.jpg 285w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Sun moves on into the fourth line of Gates 24 and 28, and we enter the Fixed Life Theme of \u201cRationalization\u201d. Now, the Unconscious Sun has gone into Gate 13. Gate 13 is \u201cThe Listener\u201d. \u200aAnd people with the 13th Gateway in their Design have the empathic ability to tune into what&#8217;s going on with other people. On the Unconscious Earth side, we\u2019ve gone into Gate 7, which is sometimes called \u201cArmy\u201d, but which I like to call \u201cUniformity\u201d. It\u2019s very much concerned with getting people on the same page and moving together in common accord.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Gate 24<\/strong> \u2013 Returning \u2013 Cycles of deep thought give way to innovation and transformation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Gate 44<\/strong> \u2013 Coming to Meet \u2013 Acceptance and mutual tolerance are essential in any meeting of likes or opposites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Gate 13 <\/strong>\u2013 The Listener \u2013 Pursuing common goals to expand all varieties of human experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Gate 7 <\/strong>\u2013 Uniformity \u2013 Finding common intent and promoting shared future interests.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u200aSo, the Fixed Life Theme of Rationalization is completely focused on getting to the truth. Again, if we think about the refining mental process of Gate 24, that\u2019s essentially what it\u2019s aiming towards. The whole refinement process is supposed to get us closer to the truth, the real essence of things. But here, with the influence of the fourth line, it\u2019s also wanting to get people on board and working together to find the best way forward. How do we move together towards something that is as perfect as can be? There&#8217;s a degree of perfectionism in this Life Theme in that it\u2019s looking to refine things to the closest possible attunement to what&#8217;s going on around us at any moment in time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>The Interpersonal Life Theme: Incarnation<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-356645\" src=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24I.jpg\" alt=\"Human Design Life Themes - Gate 24\" width=\"400\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24I.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24I-768x829.jpg 768w, https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24I-1422x1536.jpg 1422w, https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/24I-285x308.jpg 285w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Sun then moves into the fifth and sixth lines of Gates 24 and 44, and we find ourselves in the Interpersonal Life Theme of \u201cIncarnation\u201d. \u200aIt\u2019s an interesting word, and indeed an interesting Life Theme. The word <em>incarnation<\/em> means &#8220;coming into the flesh&#8221;, or &#8220;coming into a physical form&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">My experience of people with this Life Theme is that they&#8217;re all living a slightly different life than other people. They come from another form of consciousness. It&#8217;s almost like they&#8217;re visiting. They may have existed in some other life form before, and now they\u2019re here checking things out in this physical form. And they have to deal with everything that comes with that. And they have to deal with the physicality of it, how to engage with the body and health and wellbeing, the ways of a 3-dimensional world, and all these things that are essential to life as we know it. It\u2019s fascinating, and I&#8217;m always delighted when I meet somebody with this Life Theme because\u200athey&#8217;re often having a very different experience than the rest of us. They\u2019re trying out life on the physical plane. That&#8217;s what they&#8217;re here for. They\u2019re constantly examining what their life story is all about. And as a result, they&#8217;re necessarily wise and able to give a very particular guidance. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Other notable people with this Life Theme:<\/strong> Audrey Hepburn, Randy Travis, Dwayne \u201cThe Rock\u201d Johnson, Lily Allen, Donatella Versace<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">That\u2019s the essence of the Life Themes associated with the 24<sup>th<\/sup> Gateway.
