{"id":334083,"date":"2025-09-20T16:24:30","date_gmt":"2025-09-20T20:24:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/?p=334083"},"modified":"2025-09-19T20:14:24","modified_gmt":"2025-09-20T00:14:24","slug":"human-design-life-theme-and-the-book-of-destinies-hexagram-46","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/zh-hans\/human-design-life-theme-and-the-book-of-destinies-hexagram-46\/","title":{"rendered":"Human Design, Life Theme and The Book of Destinies: Hexagram 46"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last time, we explored<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Life Themes with the Sun in<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/blog-entry\/human-design-life-theme-and-the-book-of-destinies-hexagram-6\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gateway 6<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, known as the Gate of \u201cConflict Resolution\u201d.\u00a0 Now, the Sun has moved on into Gateway 46. \u200aI call this the Gateway of \u201cSerendipity\u201d, but in the traditional I-Ching it\u2019s known as the Gateway of \u201cPushing Upward into Heaven\u201d. Imagine a little grass seed sprouting and stretching its way upward toward the sunlight. This little sprout doesn\u2019t know it\u2019s only going to be a few inches tall when all is said and done, it\u2019s pushing anyway, climbing upward toward the firmament, up into heaven. And Gate 46 has this huge push within it for all of us.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BsNH-IoJsCg?si=wUPfcnY6a5rHQ8os\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I call this Gateway \u201cSerendipity\u201d because it very much involves being in the right place at the right time. You might\u2019ve noticed if you have this Gateway in your Design that wherever you go, people turn their heads. Their eyes are drawn to you. And it\u2019s because you bring that quality of the little green shoot that&#8217;s pushing its way to heaven. People pick up on this quality you have, like you&#8217;re onto something. You carry a sense of limitless possibility, a sense of luck, a sense of serendipity. But the thing with serendipity is that being in the right place at the right time, while important, is not enough on its own. You also have to have the right <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">attitude<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. That is the magical ingredient. Only with the right attitude can you actually be ready and open to receive what the Universe is trying to offer you.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-334123\" src=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Gate-46-Sun-Wind.jpg\" alt=\"Gate 46 - Sun, Wind\" width=\"246\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Gate-46-Sun-Wind.jpg 651w, https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Gate-46-Sun-Wind-285x261.jpg 285w, https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Gate-46-Sun-Wind-600x550.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 246px) 100vw, 246px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">So, with that in mind, let&#8217;s have a look at the Human Design Life Themes associated with Gateway 46:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>The Personal Life Theme: The Vessel of Love<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-334096\" src=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Gate-46-The-Personal-Life-Theme-of-The-Vessel-of-Love-1-e1758324314770.png\" alt=\"Gate 46 - The Personal Life Theme of The Vessel of Love-1\" width=\"275\" height=\"215\" \/>Now, the Sun is in Gate 46, which opens up the Personal Life Theme called \u201cThe Vessel of Love\u201d. But we\u2019re talking about a very particular type of love: love of the temple, love of the body, love of the vehicle and all its attributes that carry us through life. It\u2019s the love of the extraordinary experiences we\u2019re all invited to have on this planet, in this body, provided we\u2019re ready to engage with whatever life wants to give us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">On the Conscious Earth side, we have Gate 25, the Gateway of \u201cInnocence\u201d. All of us are born innocent. You could say there are certain factors in our Human Design charts that are going to make us interact with life in particular ways (some more \u201cinnocent\u201d than others), but at the core of things, we\u2019re born innocent. And we return to this state of innocence when we die. We might pick up a lot of baggage from the challenges we face in life, but once we check out at the end of our stay here in this world, we have to let it all go. \u200aSo, the Vessel of Love is always a reminder of that innocent childlike quality of life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Gate 46<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Serendipity \u2013 Growth comes from being in the right place at the right time with the right attitude.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Gate 25<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Innocence \u2013 Our natural state of inherent trust, honesty and presence.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Gate 15<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Humanity \u2013 In all of life\u2019s possible extremes, there is a place and role for everyone.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Gate 10<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Behavior \u2013 Finding one\u2019s pace and place throughout the twists and challenges of life.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">On the Unconscious side we have the Sun in Gate 15, the Gateway of \u201cHumility\u201d, \u201cModesty\u201d, and \u201cTrust\u201d. Gate 15 is exemplified by having time for everybody. Nobody is more important than anybody else. It carries this sensation of love\u2014love of humanity, love of life itself, love of the pulse of life and everybody one meets along the way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">On the other side, the Unconscious Earth is in Gate 10, the Gateway of \u201cBehavior\u201d, also known as \u201cTreading on the tail of the tiger\u201d. This Gateway is all about how we respond when life throws challenges in our path? Can you accept them, engage with them, and face them head-on? Again, it comes down to attitude. If that Gateway 46 is in a really good space, ready for whatever life throws its way, then Gate 10 can immediately engage with challenges in ways that will bring about positive growth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">So, Gate 46 opens up the whole experience of this season of awareness, healing, health, and wellbeing as it opens the doorway to all the Gates of the Spleen Center. And if you have this Life Theme of the Vessel of Love, you are an ambassador for these things. You&#8217;ll know this about yourself; wherever you go, you help people get it together. People know they can relax a little bit around you. They can feel it, because you bring that quality of love.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Notable people with this Life Theme:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Michael Douglas, Linda McCartney, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Bruce Springsteen<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>The Fixed Life Theme: Serendipity<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-334108\" src=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Gate-46-The-Fixed-Life-Theme-of-Serendipity-A-e1758324906937.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"229\" \/>The Sun moves on into the fourth line of Gate 46 which brings us into the Fixed Life Theme of \u201cSerendipity\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Now, the Unconscious Sun has moved into Gate 52, the Gate called \u201cMountain\u201d where we find a sense of stillness, presence, and inner calm. And the Unconscious Earth has moved into Gateway 58, where we experience joy and the celebration of life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Gate 46<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Serendipity \u2013 Growth comes from being in the right place at the right time with the right attitude.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Gate 25<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Innocence \u2013 Our natural state of inherent trust, honesty and presence.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Gate 52<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Mountain \u2013 Stillness, patience, and presence provide perspective on all life\u2019s circumstances.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Gate 58<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Joyous Vitality \u2013 Embracing the great power and delight of expressing joy and celebrating life.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The Unconscious Sun in Gateway 58 marks the beginning of a new sequence of experiences in our lives, and it\u2019s basically saying to us, \u201cwhy do anything if there&#8217;s no fun in it?\u201d It\u2019s a call to find the fun in whatever it is that we do. At the same time, the Unconscious Earth in Gate 52 brings an inner calm that influences those around you. And the serendipity of it all is just in being available\u2014available for that fun, available for that ride, available for whatever the experience might be. Trust yourself in this space, in being up for the ride, and also in being influential, as all fourth lines can be. You have the ability to point out the great possibilities that are open to people in life if they make themselves available, if they have the right attitude.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>The Interpersonal Life Theme: Healing<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u200a<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-334116\" src=\"https:\/\/evolutionaryhumandesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Gate-46-The-Interpersonal-Life-Theme-of-Healing-1-e1758325181510.png\" alt=\"Gate 46 - The Interpersonal Life Theme of Healing-1\" width=\"275\" height=\"237\" \/>The next series of Gateways are all going to be in the Spleen Center, which has everything to do with our sense of health and wellbeing. And this particular Interpersonal Life Theme of \u201cHealing\u201d happens only four days out of the year\u2014two days at this time, two days in the Spring. So, it\u2019s quite a\u200amagical Life Theme in that it brings this powerful quality of healing into the world in such a brief little window.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Now the Sun has gone into the fifth and sixth lines of Gates 46, and the fifth line in particular has the ability to offer teaching or guidance on what it really means to be well, to be healthy, to be present.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">I know a number of people with this particular Life Theme, and it\u2019s often the case that they don&#8217;t necessarily know they have this quality of bringing healing wherever they go. I tease them sometimes that they could go into a doctor&#8217;s office, and by the time they\u2019ve left, all the sick and injured people sitting in the waiting room have had some kind of healing taking place. It\u2019s just the quality of energy they bring with them\u2014that stillness, that joyfulness, that innocent quality of serendipity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">People with this Life Theme, even though they have this natural healing energy, often don&#8217;t really know what this quality is until they face challenges in their own health or in the health of somebody close to them. And then they have the capacity to go really deeply into what needs to happen in order to bring about a complete resurgence of health and wellbeing. Then this natural ability becomes a little more explicit and they recognize that they&#8217;ve got the means to bring healing in many ways.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">So, some very powerful things are happening as we enter into this fall season in the Northern Hemisphere and the spring season and the Southern Hemisphere. And we\u2019ll see that all the next Hexagrams are in the Spleen Center. So, in various ways they\u2019ll all be involved in our awareness, health and wellbeing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Notable people with this Life Theme:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Amma (The Hugging Saint), Linda Hamilton, George Gershwin<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s the essence of the Life Themes associated with the 46<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Gateway.
