The difference between knowledge (information) and “knowing”.
In Part 1, we discussed how the teaching and study of Human Design is in need of a change, or consciousness shift, in order to take it from mere knowledge and information and turn it into real lived experience. In part 2, we will see how Tradition, Change, and Transformation are three completely different ways in which life unfolds in our human perspectives, and how with Human Design and Human Design Circuitry, we find that each of these ways are encoded in their own way within any chart.
Anyone who has studied Human Design and comprehended the three main Circuit Groups is bound to have experienced a revelation. To be able to recognize, at a glance, which particular Circuit each of the 64 Hexagram/Gates belongs to opens up an extraordinary view into the areas of potential growth of consciousness within a chart.
The Three Main Circuits
“Tradition” is attached to all the Hexagrams/Gates/Channels in what we have found
represents the “Tribal Circuitry.”
“Change” relates to all the Hexagrams/Gates/Channels within “Collective Circuitry,”
and the ways in which life is described through experiment and experience.
The word “Transformation” is used when considering any of the
Hexagrams/Gates/Channels of what is found in the “Individual Circuitry.”
All of the three Main Circuit Groups find their particular forms of expressions and vocalizations at the Throat Center.
Tribal Ways
The identifying senses of Tribal ways involve Smell and Touch and are based on the principle of who and what “fits” or “belongs,” and who and what does not. All Tribal Circuitry streams go through the Willpower (Heart) Center and thus outline who and what gets support because a mostly material value is involved, and who and what does not.
The material values for the Tribal ways in simple terms involve having healthy members (Channel 50-27), a growth of population (Channel 59-6) of contributing members (Channels 19-49- 37-40), and innovative ways of establishing, improving and accumulating resources (Channels 54-32-44-26-21-45).
All Hexagram/Gates/Channels in Tribal Circuitry involve a sense of “belonging,” and the Tribe’s single voiced expression revolves around material or familial identity of “possession.” (My people, home, country, job, family, etc.).
Within all Tribal arrangements, there is a hierarchy and “pecking order” in which certain people are considered more important than others, and certain things hold greater or lesser value. (My house, car, job, wife, child, dog, god … is better/more valuable than yours).
The Collective Human Design Circuitry
Everything that involves Collective Circuitry is impersonal and visual in nature, and through the use of eyesight, understanding, and beliefs (seeing is believing) are shared and assumed. Everything in the Collective experiment/experience is comparative, going from Horrific/Appalling/Dreadful/Awful/not-so-bad/almost-ok<to ok>somewhat-alright/good/better/best/Fantastic/Glorious…..etc….
If the “old” ways of the world are Tribal, with Kings and Queens, Chiefs and Elders, who ultimately have the “last word” in any situation, the more recent times, at least in the West, have been Collective in nature and run by committees.
The democratic systems, as well as religious establishments, have worked for the most part through discussion, debate, and a sharing of ideals to reach consensus. Judicial systems have been established for society to obey, and beliefs have been established to direct those involved in religions.
Wherever Collective Human Design Circuitry exists in a chart is where “freshness,” “imagination,” “joy,” “realization,” “progress,” “serendipity,” “improving,” “listening,” exists. This allows us to keep adjusting to change in life in practical ways.
As times change, so do Collective rules and beliefs, but often they change extremely slowly. As changes in the world’s societies and technologies accelerate, changes in the Collective have trouble keeping up. Thus, we are witnessing the collapse of democratic and other Collective systems, and the declining feasibility of religions when opinions and beliefs become rigid dogma.
The Collective Abstract/Sensing Circuit looks to a decreasingly recognizable past, and the Collective Logic attempts to predict a future based on this decreasingly relevant past.
Everything in Collective Circuitry is impersonal and based on comparisons, and if we cannot get beyond comparisons in our own lives, we remain stuck in someone else’s time period and reality.
Global Consciousness
A part of the knowledge that was streamed with Human Design is the coming global consciousness shift from The Life Theme of Planning (Channel 37-40, Tribal, Community, and Gates 16, 9 Collective, Logic) to The Life Theme of the Sleeping Phoenix (Channel 20-34, Individual, Integration, and Gate 55, Individual, Knowing, and 59, Tribal, Defense).
Currently, the Collective influences that have been mainstream for centuries are diminishing, and a whole shift in consciousness to more Individual ways of living is taking place.
In a time where old rules and beliefs are less relevant, where change is too slow to meet the needs of the times, transformation and innovation become the names of the game.
We are moving out of the age of victimhood, faith, blame, and guilt, where fault could be directed away from ourselves, and entering the time of personal responsibility.
This brings us to Individual Circuitry and the concept of Individual Knowing, which we will cover next week in the third and final part of this series. Until then we invite you to have a look at your own Human Design by downloading your FREE Human Design Report.
