Last time, we explored the Life Themes with the Sun in Gateway 43, known as the Gateway of “Insight”. Now the Sun has moved into Gate 14, the Gateway of “Prosperity” or “Possession in Great Measure”. And when the Sun goes into this 14th Gateway, it just energizes these aspects of our world that have to do with abundance and the cornucopia of things on offer to us in life. What is the source of prosperity, abundance and overflow? And how do we play in these arenas where everything is available?

If you look at the first line of the 14th Gateway, it basically says something like, “If you love what you do, the money will follow”. Which is to say that Gate 14 shows us that there’s a sense of prosperity and abundance that’s completely separate from material wealth; it comes from doing something you enjoy, something that resonates deeply with you. However, we’ve all got to make a living. So, there is a balance to be struck. First you find something that you feel really connected to, that brings you that inner sense of abundance, then you make a plan for how it’s going to generate income.

 

 

 

 

So, with that in mind, let’s have a look at the Human Design Life Themes associated with Gateway 14:

 

The Personal Life Theme: Transference (Contagion)

The Conscious Sun is now in Gate 14, and the Earth is in Gate 8. Now, interestingly, both of these Gateways are in what we call Individual Circuitry. So, they’re both about empowerment, specifically personal empowerment. So, as the Sun goes through these Gateways, we have this whole window of being really clear about what it is that brings us benefit, growth, expansion, and a sense of abundance and overflow in our life.

 

• Gate 14 – Prosperity – Learning to embody a genuine easy in situations involving property, wealth and affluence.

 

• Gate 8 – Contribution – Inspiring trust and providing outlets for those who create novel concepts and ideals.

 

• Gate 29 – Commitment/The Automatic “Yes” – Making commitments from a place of grounded sincerity.

 

• Gate 30 – The Clinging Fire – The infinite and unshakeable quality of desire.

 

Now, we also have the Unconscious Sun in Gate 29, which is a Gateway with many names to it. It’s the Gateway of “Commitment”, it’s the Gateway of “Saying Yes”, it’s the Gateway of “Recognition”—and this is the recognition of those things that really draw draws your energy, that instantly ignite that spark in you.

The Unconscious Earth is in Gate 30, the Gateway of “The Clinging Fire”, those burning desires and experiences in life that really bring us that sense of fulfillment. And all of this opens up the Personal Life Theme of “Transference”. But, it’s also known as “Contagion”, which sounds ominous but is really just about passing things along. It’s about passing the torch. It’s that feeling when you find something that really appeals to you, and you just can’t wait to share it. You want to put it out into other people’s lives and empower them the way you’ve been empowered. So, people with this Life Theme are the torch bearers. They pass the flame and energize other people.

The Fixed Life Theme: Prosperity

The Sun moves on into the fourth line of Gate 14, which brings us into the Fixed Life Theme of “Prosperity”. And here you can feel prosperous with a million dollars or a single penny to your name, because we’re talking about inner prosperity—that sensation that you’re connected into life in a way that really brings you a sense of growth and benefit.

 

• Gate 14 – Prosperity – Learning to embody easy in situations involving property, wealth and affluence.

 

• Gate 8 – Contribution – Inspiring trust and providing outlets for those who create novel concepts and ideals.

 

• Gate 59 – Intimacy – By dissolving barriers we establish union.

 

• Gate 55 – Abundance – A spirited nature has the means to access abundance in all of life’s arenas.

 

Now the Unconscious Sun has moved into Gate 59, the Gateway of “Intimacy”. Gateway 59 puts out energy that invites others to connect. It’s scattering seeds in a way, looking for who’s going to recognize the prosperity that’s on offer. Then we have the Unconscious Earth in Gate 55, the Gateway of “Abundance”. There’s an interesting balance here between Gates 59 and 55. Gate 59 is very Sacral. It’s energized from the sex center. It wants to scatter seed in the right direction. It wants to create and make things grow. Gate 55 is more about the Sacred. So, we have this balance between the Sacral and the Sacred. And people with this Life Theme have to be really clear on what it is that’s really important for them, what it is that’s really central to their own life in terms of prosperity before they can then convey and transmit this sense of prosperity to others.

 

The Interpersonal Life Theme: Uncertainty

The Sun then moves into the fifth and sixth lines of Gates 14, which brings us into the Interpersonal Life Theme of “Uncertainty”. Life is uncertain, but people with this Life Theme find the means to be able to assist or guide people towards recognizing how to deal with uncertainty, how to embrace it in ways that bring them great benefit.

People with Gate 14 with the fifth line will find themselves very competent and capable when it comes to managing and administering funds. There may be a bit of a learning curve at first where they lose money, but eventually they become very wise about how to accrue and manage their wealth. And the Earth in Gate 8 with the fifth line knows how to guide and teach people, while the sixth line has the overall view to see who can contribute and how to encourage them in the best possible way.

We’ve still got the Unconscious Sun in Gate 59, which is always looking for environments where there’s good chemistry for the scattering of the seed, always looking to ensure that it lands in a fertile spot where things can grow. And the Unconscious Earth in the 55th Gateway is looking to see where abundance really reside and how to encourage it in people.

So, people with this Life Theme have a natural facility with the material world. They have an ability to draw wealth and material wellbeing to themselves. And they do it by just putting out a vibe that tells others that they know the secret to attracting prosperity, and that they can also convey this sense into other people’s lives.
