As a tribute to several big scientific breakthrough anniversaries, the United Nations has dubbed 2015, “The International Year of Light”, and we couldn’t agree more! Each month Chetan and I study the energies to get a sense of what is coming for all of us, and, what we can say about this year is, “hold on to your hats!”
We are in for several major breakthroughs and revelations as 2015 unfolds. Gracing the cover of the January 11th Parade Magazine is, Oprah Winfrey, Paul McCartney, Ellen DeGeneres, Lena Durham, U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan ( D-Ohio) and more…..What do they have in common?
They all meditate! That’s right, Parade Magazine published a big article on the benefits of meditation, and you can’t get more mainstream than that. Virginia Sole-Smith, author of the Parade article, reports that the Seattle Sea Hawks used Mindfulness Meditation to help them win the Super Bowl last year.
It’s now routinely being used in large corporate environments, hospitals and is even breaking into education. In a recent Vogue magazine article, Donna Karan, head of a hugely successful fashion empire, says this of meditation, “You learn early on that if you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take care of anyone else….I’ve designed whole collections while walking on the beach. When I’m relaxed and happy, I’m creatively much more open to new ideas.”
For many of us, working quietly for years and even decades, to raise consciousness, to increase our Light, and to foster a more healthy and happy world, this is cause for celebration! As we progress through this most remarkable year, remember this is the time we have all been waiting for; this is the dawning of the Age of Light, and it’s time we offered our wisdom and gifts to the world in a much bigger way.
Discovering how we can best bring into expression the wisdom, healing and enlightenment we have worked so long and hard to cultivate, is our subject for contemplation in the early part of 2015.
